The Mascork Origin: The awakening of an exceptional insulator
"We believe that the best answer to tomorrow's ecological challenges lies in yesterday's forests. Mascork was born from a simple conviction: the most effective insulation is already offered to us by nature."

The Heritage of the Forests of the Mediterranean Basin
A long-dormant natural treasure: North Africa, and Algeria in particular, is home to one of the world's largest expanses of cork oak forests. It is in the heart of these wild forests, shaped by the Mediterranean climate, that Mascork sources its raw material. Subjected to hot summers and harsh winters, the Algerian cork oak develops bark of exceptional density and resilience. Long underutilized, this local resource now represents the future of eco-construction in Europe.
Respect for the Tree
A harvest that preserves life. Choosing cork means choosing a material that doesn't harm the environment. No trees are cut down to produce our panels. The debarking process is an age-old craft that respects the natural cycle of the oak tree. Even better: once stripped of its bark, the tree absorbs up to 5 times more CO2 to regenerate. Insulating your home with Mascork means actively contributing to the planet's well-being.

From wild bark to high-performance panel
The creation of our insulating panels is based on one absolute principle: respect for living things. It all begins with debarking, a millennia-old manual harvesting process that requires no felling. Freed from its bark, the tree breathes, regenerates, and absorbs up to five times more CO2.
Next comes the transformation. The pure cork granules are heated with steam at very high temperatures. Under the effect of the heat, the cork expands and releases its own natural resin, suberin. This binds the granules together unbreakably. No chemical additives, no synthetic glues. Just the power of nature, captured in a panel with exceptional thermal and acoustic performance.
The birth of Mascork
Mascork was born from an obvious truth and a conviction. Observing the climate emergency and the tightening of environmental standards in Europe, a question arose: why look for complex insulation solutions when nature has already created the perfect material?
Founded in late 2025, Mascork's mission is to revitalize this untapped resource. At 25, I wanted to create a direct link between the wild forests of Algeria and your renovation or construction projects throughout Europe. Our commitment is simple: to provide you with premium, raw-quality bio-based insulation that protects your spaces while preserving the environment. Mascork: insulation with a purpose.
